Teeth Cleaning and Dental Exam Procedure

Cleaning & Flossing

We begin with a detailed cleaning, removing plaque and tartar around your gum line, followed by meticulous flossing to clear away remaining particles. For a final touch, we use a tooth polisher with an abrasive paste to give your teeth a smooth, shiny finish, helping prevent future plaque buildup until your next dental visit.
Step 01

Teeth Inspection

After cleaning your teeth, we use a metal probe and mirror to inspect for tooth decay, gum swelling, mouth sores, and redness. They'll also measure periodontal pockets; a depth over three millimeters may indicate gum disease.
Step 02

Dental X-Ray

We take dental x-ray images to check for issues under the gums. You'll bite on special plastic as the x-ray machine captures images of your teeth, roots, and jaw, helping to determine your oral care plan.
Step 03

Dental Exam

Using your dental x-rays, the dentist will check for bone loss or abnormalities under your gums. The exam includes assessing jaw alignment, teeth grinding, and screening for oral cancer.
Step 04

Dental Results & Advice

After your dental exam, the dentist will explain your oral health status and recommend next steps. This might include booking a follow-up procedure or actions to take for dental hygiene at home.

5 Ways to Maintain Your Daily Oral Health

step-1

Brushing your teeth twice a day

Make sure to brush your teeth in the morning and before bed for at least two minutes each time. Use a fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristled toothbrush.

step-2

Floss Daily

Flossing gets rid of food and plaque between your teeth, where your toothbrush can't reach. It's important to floss once a day to keep your gums healthy.

step-3

Eat Healthy Foods

Eating lots of fruits, vegetables, and dairy products can help protect your teeth. Try to avoid sugary snacks and drinks that can lead to cavities.

step-4

Visit the dentist regularly

You should see your dentist for cleanings and check-ups at least twice a year. They can spot problems early and help keep your mouth healthy.

step-5

Use Mouthwash

Swishing with mouthwash can help reduce plaque, prevent or reduce gingivitis, and freshen breath. Remember, it's not a substitute for brushing or flossing, but it's a good addition to your daily oral health routine.
